Before starting, make sure all your tools and ingredients are at hand. It's essential to avoid using metal utensils or bowls because the metal can react with the clay, reducing its effectiveness.
Take around three tablespoons Bentonite Clay and pour apple cider vinegar over the bentonite clay. Stir the mixture until you achieve a smooth consistency. If the mixture is too thick, you can add more apple cider vinegar or a little water. If it's too runny, add more clay.
Section your hair for easier application and apply to wet hair. Starting from the roots, work the mixture down to the tips of your hair, ensuring that every strand is coated. Massage the mixture into your scalp as well. After you've applied the mask to your entire head, let it sit for about 10-15 minutes.
After that, thoroughly rinse your hair with warm water. Ensure all the clay mixture is rinsed out. Follow up with a moisturizing conditioner.
If you desire additional hold, apply a foam or gel over the leave-in. Allow your curls to air dry naturally for softer, bouncier results. For added volume and definition, use a diffuser on a low heat setting. Once your hair is dry, if desired, scrunch your curls gently to break any cast formed to reveal soft and defined curls.
Note: For best results, use in conjunction with other Curly Secret products. Adjust the quantity based on your hair’s length and thickness.
Important: It's recommended to perform a patch test before applying the mask all over your hair, especially if you have sensitive skin or are trying bentonite clay for the first time. This helps ensure you won't have an adverse reaction.
